Mineral Deposits Limited is a mineral resources company with a producing gold mine and processing operation as well as a mineral sands project under development and a portfolio of quality exploration projects, all located in Senegal. It is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: MDL) and Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: MDM).

MDL has built a substantial open pit mining operation at the Sabodala Gold Project and commenced gold production with the pouring of the first gold dore bars in mid-March. At the Grande Côte Zircon & Ilmenite Project, the mining concession was granted in November 2007 and construction planning and detailed engineering has predominantly been completed. Long lead time equipment items, such as the dredge pump and gear box have been fabricated.

MDL is also engaged in active regional and mine lease exploration programs. With seven joint venture Exploration Permit areas located within 10-50km of the Sabodala mining operation the objective is to discover additional resources for the Sabodala mill.

Within the mine lease, 11 targets have currently been identified and a major RC and diamond drill campaign commenced in March 2010.
